HO Winter!

Winter was never a scary proposition! Until I was to come to good old Holmdel! The land where the sun refuses to rise and shine. I guess thats the case with most of places North of New Jersey! However, I chose to drive. Well had just decided to drive around and started getting looks of astonishment, almost as if to question my sanity! The 'Bali ka bakra' feeling started to set in. People around were more concerned than ever. There were looks of sympathy. Well as for me, I was just sinking in the fact that I would be freezing the next few months, craving for sunlight! Couple of days before starting on the ominous journey, the sun shone brighter than ever on Bangalore. Jaggu didnt miss the opportunity to show me what a shining sun looks like! I guess the silver lining came when I realized that I had Gopa to share my winter misery.
The journey was rather uneventful. Its not really like Askterix and Obelix running into a
roman legion! It really was uneventful :-) Until there was a small announcement, something abt
the weather being good at Newark! It was the best announcement I had heard since the time
when PT was once cancelled at school on a cold winter morning at school! It was supposed to 6 C.
Its rather rare than the entire entire cloud turns silver, but it did, when I landed at Newark on
bright sunny evening with the temperature at 9 c. It was the most welcoming sign I had ever
ever found. I really dont believe in omens, but I guess some exceptions can always be made!
